[3.0] Browser support

We’re often asked which browsers and operating systems are supported by the current Version 3 web browser player. No web app can support limitless combinations however we tested with 18 popular Windows combos, 16 popular Mac combinations and a number of mobile browsers.

Dark cells indicate that the browser is not available for the OS.

Y denotes full support – both with and without Flash
P denotes partial support – console initialises in reduced functionality mode. Streams will play but some features will be switched off.
† denotes that Flash is required and audio will not play without it
†† HTML5 audio is supported in some devices but buffering time can be extended
‡ Firefox 27+ for Mac and Firefox 26+ for Linux introduced HTML5 audio
* denotes platforms for which Radioplayer has native apps available that should be used in preference to browser-based listening. (Currently Android 2.3+, iOS6+, Windows Phone 7+, Amazon Kindle Fire)
** Blackberry 10 users may be able to use the Android Radioplayer app available via the Amazon App Store app for BB10

We’ve put together a handy guide to get you set up quickly in Radioplayer. As you know, the Radioplayer console is a browser-based application which is hosted by your station, so before you begin, you’ll need someone who knows their way around your website and has FTP access.
